the SINGER

I have been singing since I was knee high to a grasshopper, at the moment I’m with a couple of bands making Electropop and Drum & Bass tunes.

People ask me to do songs for their kids shows, dance bands, learning videos, exam papers and sometimes in an audiobook. I play the Ukulele, guitar and piano.

Dancing with Ruby is my main musical side hustle, we are working on our second album ‘Fable’ which includes the track Sea Maiden, which you can see here. 

I recently recorded ‘A Song for Maggie Blue’, which was inspired by the book, ‘Maggie Blue and the Dark World’, written by Anna Goodhall. This book was so incredible that I left my maternity leave early to record it. All about a resilient, brave and awesome kid who can see how people feel, which, alongside having a baby of my own, really lit a song writing spark in me.

Rhythm and Pieces is the creation of dance musician Benedict Bloikman. I met Ben in my early twenties, in this big old factory building that my first ‘proper’ band practiced in; Urban Space Lab were a trip hop, Drum & Bass four-piece band who I performed with on the BBC and at Glastonbury in 2003.
